National Comedy Center Grand Opening

People looking for a laugh this summer can head to Western New York to visit the new National Comedy Center.

In the 1980s the Council of the Arts approached Lucille Ball with the idea to make a comedy center in her honor. She insisted that they should think bigger. Now over thirty years later her dream has been fulfilled with a new National Comedy Center in her hometown.

Governor Cuomo said that this was a part of a larger initiative to boost the region.

Comedians such as Amy Schumer and Lily Tomlin will be taking part in opening week celebrations.
