Morning Brief: March 30
In most election years, New York State’s late-in-the-game primaries aren’t a major campaign stop. But this year, the situation is a little different—with races still hotly contested in both parties, candidates are gearing up for a concerted push in New York before the state’s April 19 election. For Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, that means heading straight for the friendly territory of New York City. Both politicians are making local stops this week—Clinton is appearing Wednesday to make remarks at an organizing event at Harlem’s Apollo Theater. Sanders will first turn up in the South Bronx, where he’s holding a rally with rapper Residente.
