After a day of barbeques, backyard pool parties, and fireworks, it's back to reality on this cloudy Tuesday. But speaking of babeques, Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest occurred yesterday in Coney Island. Miki Sudo from Las Vegas ate 38.5 hot dogs, making her the winner for the women's competition, and Joey Chesnut from San Jose ate 70 hot dogs, making him the winner for the men's competition. Chesnut regained his title and dethroned his rival Matt Stonie. This was the 100th anniversary of the hot-dog-eating contest. [full article
