Morning Brief: August 8

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the movie comes out today.  It’s the latest iteration of a thirty year-old franchise, but it’s also just the latest superhero movie filmed in New York City

The recent popularity of superhero movies has been good for the city’s film industry.  Tons of movies like The Amazing Spiderman 2 and The Avengers have been shot in the city.  Because what looks better on film than Gotham?
