Don McLean was Pete Fornatale’s first guest ever on "Mixed Bag" in 1982 — and I was happy to welcome him as a guest on the show over 40 years later again. Don has a new album out with an appropriate title for the July 4 weekend, American Boys.
Don talks about the title track, the new album, and he also looks back at his career and the role that "Mixed Bag" played in establishing him as a bona fide artist even before “American Pie.”
