Metric Covers Tom Waits' 'Strange Weather'

Metric releases its next album, Synthetica, on June 12 on the group's own label, Metric Music International. They dropped by FUV in late March, 2012, for a live session and treated us to a cover of Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan's "Strange Weather," from Waits' 1988 album, Big Time. However, Emily Haines drew from Marianne Faithfull's version of the song, infusing it with a wistful, pained grace.
