Matt Nakoa - Sunday Breakfast - 2014

Matt Nakoa grew up on a farm in upstate New York before going to Berklee College of Music in Boston. After establishing himself on the Boston music scene, he chose to move to Brooklyn, the new mecca for singer-songwriters. He returned to another upstate New York farm this past summer as an Emerging Artist at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and I asked him to be part of the November On Your Radar at Rockwood Music Hall. He performed a couple of his smart and sensitive songs, accompanying himself on guitar and piano, in this Sunday Breakfast session.
