Marshall Crenshaw - FUV Live - 2013

Marshall Crenshaw and Dennis Elsas
by Dennis Elsas | 08/21/2013 | 12:00am

It's Marshall Crenshaw, his band and host Dennis Elsas in Studio A

It may be hard to believe, but it's been over 30 years since Marshall Crenshaw first released his self-titled debut. That album featured the hit, "Someday Someway" which remains a staple in the live set list and to this day... still sounds great! Marshall has released a wealth of music since those early days and his latest is an EP called, Stranger and Stranger.

Of course, he's no stranger to WFUV. He hosted The Bottomless Pit every Saturday night for years, and you can hear my FUV Live session with him right here. We had a terrific conversation including his thoughts on portraying Buddy Holly in La Bamba after playing John Lennon in Beatlemania.  Marshall brought along an all-star band and there's great live performances here too.
