It was forty-eight years ago today that man first landed on the moon. On July 20, 1969, at 3:17 p.m. Eastern time, Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz"Aldrin, of the Apollo 11 mission, landed the lunar module, Eagle, on the surface of the moon. Then, a little over six hours later, Armstrong left the Eagle to take the first step on the moon. Shortly after, Aldrin joined him. The first moon walk commenced.

To commemorate this historic moment for mankind, today's Question of the Day will feature any song having to do with the moon, landing on the moon, man on the moon, walking on the moon, running on... you get the point. Make a suggestion and we'll play a bunch of your choices in the 9 a.m. hour.

HERE ARE THE SONGS WE PLAYED:

The Police "Walking On The Moon" (Reggatta De Blanc)

George Harrison "Here Comes The Moon" (George Harrison)

The Byrds "Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins" (Ballad Of Easy Rider)

Paul Simon "Song About The Moon" (Hearts And Bones)

R.E.M. "Man On The Moon" (Automatic For The People)
