Local Opinions Collide Over Fordham Road Bus Service
This month, the WFUV newsroom is reporting on advocacy work in New York City. In this two-part series, WFUV's Maya Sargent reports on conflicting opinions regarding a change to the Fordham Road bus service in the Bronx. The Department of Transportation is proposing the addition of a new bus lane on Fordham Road but not all local organizations are in agreement. In the first part of this two-part series, Maya attends a rally hosted by the Riders Alliance, an organization that wants to see this proposal implemented as soon as possible. In part two, Maya interviews Peter Madonia, the chairman of the Belmont Business Improvement District about why he, along with other key institutions in the Bronx, oppose the new bus lane. |
