This singer-songwriter is best known as half of the critically acclaimed folk duo The Civil Wars. Following the band's unexpected breakup last year, Joy Williams quickly started to work on her new solo album, Venus, which is due out this summer.
The new record features Williams taking the best parts of The Civil Wars while also incorporating her wide range of influences, like Kate Bush, Portishead, Massive Attack, and Peter Gabriel.
