JD McPherson: 2017

JD McPherson is a fave of ours at WFUV; he's an artist who has given us undeniable stompers like "North Side Gal," "Fire Bug," and "Let The Good Times Roll." His latest single, "Lucky Penny," is a worthy follow-up that has a tougher sound than its predecessors. It comes from his recently released third album, Undivided Heart and Soul, which was recorded at the historic RCA Studio B in Nashville.

McPherson has been playing with the same four guys for the past five years or so, and they are road-tested and ready to tear it up in this FUV Live session.
