Jake Clemons: 2017
If the name Jake Clemons is familiar to you, there's a good chance that you know him as one of the newer members of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.
He initially joined the group in 2012 as a member of the horn section, not that long after his uncle Clarence Clemons, the legendary and charismatic saxophone player with Bruce, had passed away. But Jake Clemons had already been pursuing his own musical career and after putting it on hold for awhile, he's just released a new album, Fear and Love.
Clemons and his band came to Studio A to perform some songs from the album, talk about his music, and share with me what it's been like to grow into his position as Clarence's "fill-in," not replacement, with Springsteen's band.
