Iron & Wine: The Loft at City Winery 2026

Sam Beam has been quietly engaging fans for over two decades now as Iron & Wine.
While recording his 2024 album, Light Verse, he would also craft and record the songs that would become his beautiful new effort, Hen’s Teeth. Unsurprisingly, the new album is filled with warmth and love, as he navigates the struggles we all seem to face in relationships.
In some way, fans come to the music of Iron & Wine for guidance and direction, as though Beam has the answers we all seek.
Before he performed for a room full of WFUV marquee members and fans at The Loft at City Winery, I sat down with Beam backstage to catch up on the new record. While I’m not usually one to ask about the meaning of album titles, it was hard not to in this case.
We also chatted about nature in songwriting, that vocal warmth, his fanbase and more.
