Hurray for the Riff Raff: Pregones Theater 2017

After a number of critically acclaimed albums, Alynda Segarra of Hurray for the Riff Raff took some time to reflect on her musical career and her roots, looking deeper into what truly mattered. She began writing the songs that would become The Navigator, a cinematic story of a character whose history and experiences in many ways resembled her own. The result is inspirational and relatable, and represents what might be the finest work of her career.

Alynda had the idea to do a show with FUV at Pregones Theater in the Bronx, and she brought her full band, including a string section for this performance. Take a listen to what was a really special night.
