George Evans in for Corny O'Connell this morning. On September 14, 1985 "The Golden Girls," starring Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty, debuted on NBC. In honor of this auspicious moment, I'm looking for songs that come to mind when thinking about "The Golden Girls." It could be simple such as a golden song or a band with "girls" — or be creative and suggest a song that you think Rose or Blanche would love.

I'll gather them up and play them on today's Question of the Day, just after 9 a.m.

Songs played:

1. David Bowie - "Golden Years"
2. America - "Sister Golden Hair"
3. Cyndi Lauper - "Girls Just Want To Have Fun"
4. Aretha Franklin - "Respect"
