On this date in 1938 Thornton Wilder's Our Town was performed for the first time at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey. It went on to a successful run on Broadway and received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. That's all the excuse we need to ask for songs that mention towns in any sense of the word.
