gran-teatre-el-liceu-plants

This week music was played for a live audience for the first time since mid-March at Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu. The performance of Puccini's "Crisantemi" ("Chrysanthemums") by a string quartet was so captivating you could hear a leaf drop. Indeed, that may have been the only response from the house...of house plants. It may seem silly, but afterwards each plant was donated as a token of appreciation to healthcare professionals in the city. In recognition of this unusual event, let's put together a set of songs. If you can't think of any mentioning house plants, leave it to the gardeners in the group to come up with something. We'll play your requests after 9am.

Here's what we played:

Bruce Springsteen "Secret Garden"

Courtney Barnett "Avant Gardener"

Frank Sinatra "High Hopes"

The White Stripes "Blue Orchid"
