In January, Eric Andersen paid a rare visit to the United States from the Netherlands. He played some local gigs and was gracious enough to make time to visit "Mixed Bag" and WFUV.

Eric has been a "Mixed Bag" favorite since Pete Fornatale created the program in 1982, and, of course, Pete played Eric’s music on the radio long before then. I’m certain that’s where I first heard his music and how I became a fan. Can you say, “Is It Really Love at All?”

That’s why it was such a treat to sit and talk with Eric. We talked about his latest project, Woodstock Under the Stars. We talked about music. And we talked about Pete.

Eric his band performed five songs live in Studio A, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy his visit as much as I did. The musicians are: Eric Andersen (vocals and guitar), Eric Lee (violin, mandolin, vocals), Steve Addabbo (electric guitar, vocals) and Jagoda (percussion, bongos, djembe).

Enjoy!
