prison cells

It was on this date in 1968 that Johnny Cash performed for 2,000 inmates at Folsom State Prison in California. The performances were released as the album At Folsom Prison and hit number one on the Billboard Country chart. The album included the hit "Folsom Prison Blues." What other songs about prison and jail can you come up with? List them below and we'll put together a set.

Here's what we played:

Aaron Neville "Angola Bound"

The Pretenders "Back on the Chain Gang"

Merle Haggard "Mama Tried"

Bruce Springsteen "Johnny 99"

The Bobby Fuller Four "I Fought the Law"
