Do You Still Want Your MTV?!

MTV debuted on August first--twice!  In 1981, and again in Europe in 1987.  While the small-scale US service signed on with the cheeky "Video Killed The Radio Star," the overseas debut kicked off with "Money For Nothing," the MTV-referencing Dire Straits song that addressed the whole new culture that had spawned.

 

So 35 years later--do you still want YOUR MTV?!  And some songs that were milestones along the way?
