Dispatch: 2017
A trio formed at tiny Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, Dispatch were eventually based in Boston. They released a handful of imaginative tuneful albums in the late '90s and despite being generally ignored by radio, they were always a strong draw on the road.
But after one of their farewell shows drew more than 150,000 fans in 2004, the band reconsidered their breakup. A handful of sold-out dates at New York's Madison Square Garden in 2007 fueled continued interest in the Dispatch and the band eventually reconvened and released a comeback album in 2012.
That release is now five years in the rearview mirror, but Dispatch's Chad Stokes, Brad Corrigan and company traveled to FUV's Bronx studios to introduce us to their new album: America, Location 12. You can hear the Studio A session below, and catch Dispatch in person at Forest Hills Stadium on July 6.
