It might feel like a longer December than usual, but there is real light and hope on the horizon after a pretty awful 2020 for all of us. This year's holiday celebrations will be very different — many of us are staying close to home and far from family and friends — but no matter what your plans might be, the songs of the season can be a source of comfort and joy.

As our gift to you, the FUV DJs have compiled a Spotify playlist of some of our favorite snowy, wintry, or festive tunes that we're calling, well, our "Comfort and Joy Soundtrack!" We've mixed over five hours of seasonal songs, some pensive and some not, from artists like Neko Case, Nick Cave, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Tom Waits, Duke Ellington, Laura Marling, Ella Fitzgerald, Aimee Mann and scores more. Listen on demand whenever you'd like, whether you're trimming a tree, wrangling kids, or chilling out in your pajamas with a glass of wine.

In addition, we'll have more holiday programming for you on 90.7FM, streaming online, to be announced in the days ahead.

The WFUV family wishes you and your loved ones a safe, gentle, and peaceful Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, winter solstice, and a far happier New Year in our future.
