Code of Conduct
WFUV is a listener-supported public radio station built around a shared love of music, discovery, and community. We welcome thoughtful conversation and a diversity of viewpoints, and we ask everyone who participates in discussions on our website and social media to treat one another with respect.
That policy of tolerance also extends to a "Code of Conduct" for Disqus comments on our website posts and comments on our social media channels.
- WFUV does not tolerate comments that reflect hate, bigotry or intolerance, including on the basis of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sex, or sexuality.
- We frequently moderate our posts and will remove anything that we deem to be bullying or toxic. If you continue to make posts that are against our code of conduct, moderators might ban you from making further comments for 90 days Further noncompliance could result in a permanent ban. - We welcome spirited and respectful conversation on the music that brings us together. It's the soundtrack of our lives and the shared language that keeps us connected.
Should our moderators see a comment that goes against our code of conduct or that of Fordham University, we will proceed in the following manner:
- First infraction: The comment(s) will be removed. Assume that if we've removed your comment, it goes against our code of conduct.
- Second infraction: The comment(s) will be removed again and the commenter banned from making additional comments for 90 days on either the website or socials.
- Third infraction: The commenter will be permanently banned.
