City of Champions: NYCFC's Road to the MLS Cup

In just their 7th season in the league, New York City Football Club lifted their first ever MLS Cup on December 11th 2021. It was a turbulent season for the club, but NYCFC caught fire at the right time, putting together a remarkable 9 game unbeaten run en route to becoming champions of the MLS.

This is the first major professional sports championship for New York since the Giants in 2012, re-crowning NYC as a city of champions.
