Citizen Cope's mix of soul, blues, and folk has been appealing to fans since the mid-'90s, but he crosses so many different genres and styles that most of the major labels have found him hard to market.

For his fourth album, Rainwater LP. Citizen Cope decided to create his own label for his unique sound, and in between singing some tunes he told me how it felt to go indie.
