The Chapin Family: Sunday Supper Session 2024

Tom Chapin and his daughters, Abigail and Lily, a.k.a. The Chapin Sisters, have all appeared multiple times at WFUV, but never together before, until they came for a "Sunday Supper" session in Studio A.

Prompted by a Chapin family concert of "Harry Chapin's Greatest Stories Live," they shared memories of Harry as an artist, a brother, and an uncle. We also discussed Tom's career as a Grammy-winning family music artist, the impact of Pete Seeger on the Chapins' music, and the daughters' own career as The Chapin Sisters while they balanced motherhood.

Abigail and Lily brought their sublime harmonies to several of Harry's songs, as well as singing one of their own compositions.
