Music Under New York auditions

If you're passing through Grand Central Terminal today, you'll hear auditions for the MTA's Music Under New York program. Those chosen for the program will get choice spots within the transit system to perform. Has a subway or street performer ever caught your ear? Tell us about it. We'll try to play that song, or perhaps, even that performer - coming up after 9am.

Here's what we played:

Steve Forbert "Grand Central Station, March 18, 1977"

Kaki King "Steamed Juicy Little Bun"

Ted Hawkins "There Stands the Glass"

Mary Lou Lord "His Lamest Flame"

Chris Whitley "Big Sky Country"
