Formed in the late '90s, Baptist Generals made a name for themselves as a band that mixed well with both folk and indie rocks fans. Their sound has been compared to musicians like Roky Erickson, Will Oldham and even Howlin' Wolf. It's been a while since we've heard from this Denton, Texas band. Their last record, No Silver/No Gold, was released ten years ago. Making a return after that long hiatus, the Baptist Generals have released a new album, Jackleg Devotional to the Heart. The band's Chris Flemmons is also in the midst of planning a "Living Room Tour" of houses and lofts during September and October of this year. Tickets for the shows go on sale on August 21.
