Over the last number of years, The Black Keys have risen from a minimalist blues-rock duo to one of the biggest bands in the world. Dan Auerbach’s constant flow of creativity is a big reason for that, so it should come as no surprise that he would channel that into something new, The Arcs. While there are certainly elements of everything we love about The Black Keys here, the band’s debut album, Yours, Dreamily, definitely feels like it has its own identity.

I talked with Auerbach and Richard Swift about the new album, its loose, groove base and its collaborative spirit. The band performed live in an incredible set in Studio A doing live versions of "Outta My Mind," "Stay in My Corner" and "Put a Flower in Your Pocket."
