While the British classical rock pioneers Renaissance have undergone numerous personnel changes over the past five decades, soprano Annie Haslam has been their lead singer for almost all of that time. Now as their stabilized lineup embarks on its first tour with a live orchestra in 40 years (performing at Ridgefield Playhouse on October 26 and Town Hall on October 28), Haslam came to FUV for a visit.

She updated us on the Renaissance story, cheerfully endured a challenge to her alleged five-octave range, and, accompanied by pianist Rave Tesar, performed a couple of songs in Studio A.
