This FUV Live session is also available as a podcast, "FUV Live Sessions." We're elevating WFUV's long history of live sessions and interviews via a podcast that you can find on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon Podcasts. New episodes drop every Monday.

Annabelle Dinda’s name is everywhere in 2026, whether thanks to her viral hit, “The Hand,” or her opening tour dates for Noah Kahan. Dinda has had quite the year. One of the things that makes her so interesting is that her high-profile chapter of success came long after she had already started both making and putting out music.

Her most recent album, Some Things Never Leave, is actually her fourth record in six years. Just like the rest of her music, each song transports the listener to a hyper-specific scene that leaves them with the visceral feelings only the best music can elicit. Not only is she a talented musician, but she is also a poet and a lover of poetry, which probably contributes to her deeply narrative storytelling that comes through in each track.

After opening for Noah Kahan at Citi Field in Queens this summer, Dinda joined WFUV marquee members for an exclusive, intimate show at The Bitter End with her band: Maya Polsky (guitar), Andres Valbuena (drums), and Anna Young (bass and piano). In my interview in the green room prior to her set, Dinda was everything I thought she would be: warm, reflective, and just the right touch of silly.

Dinda's session is a moving one, from her authenticity that comes through in our conversation to the songs from her new album like “Satellites,” which drops you right into the middle of a conflict with the lyrics: “Your dog just bit me, but I know he didn’t mean it.” She also performed a brand new song, “Learn Something, Baby!” which she had written roughly 10 days before playing this show for FUV.

I’m confident that first-time listeners to Dinda will be taken by her endearing open-mindedness, which struck everyone sitting in the green room for her interview. When she said, “I love changing my mind. It’s my favorite part about being alive,” we all nodded vigorously in agreement – and I'm sure listeners to this "FUV Live Session" will do the same.
