RIP Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys

The news of MCA's passing really upsets me.  What is going on?  Levon, Pete & Now Adam Yauch?! 

Growing up in NYC, I've never NOT listened to the Beastie Boys.  When I got my 1st car in college, I used to blast the Beasties with the windows rolled down.  I listened to their music so much that it became an extension of myself; part of my identity.  When they finally released Hot Sauce Committee I was so glad that they were still representing.  In fact, almost every time I played "Make Some Noise" on the show, I couldn't stop myself from saying - "Yeah, I'm still with you!" 

This one really hurts.  You will be missed, MCA.  But I'll always love your music & you'll always be represented on The Alternate Side as long as this B-girl has anything to say about it.
