WFUV Presents The Music of The Rolling Stones at Carnegie Hall Tonight!

It was June of 1964 when the Stones played Carnegie Hall to a house of screaming young girls and tonight many of those songs will be performed anew.

I’ll be there to host the nearly 2 dozen artists playing the classic Hot Rocks album, in sequence. We start with Time Is On My Side, and end with Wild Horses. It’s a broad range of artists that will bring their interpretative gifts to the big stage of Carnegie. Rosanne Cash, Steve Earle, Rickie Lee Jones, plus Mountain Goats, Jackson Browne, Juliette Lewis, Taj Mahal, Angelique Kidjo and an artist who was there in those early days – Marianne Faithfull.
