Video: Michael Franti visits WFUV!

Is the year half-over already? Time flies when there’s great music coming - tonight, from The Whole Wide World (Friday night, 7-10pm EST). This week, I’m recapping the best new music so far in 2010, including: David Byrne and Fatboy Slim’s Here Lies Love, Bettye LaVette and Stars. We’ve also got some tracks to premiere from M.I.A., Arcade Fire, a collaboration between Dirty Projectors and Bjork, and indie newcomers Best Coast.

But wait! There’s more! Stay tuned for an in-studio live session with Michael Franti, the peace-loving, head-standing, shoe-renouncing member of Spearhead as he chats with me about his new album, Sound of Sunshine. Sunny, indeed.
