Last Day of the Roo
Its bittersweet leaving the Bonnaroo. I’m ready to be clean. Have a nice shower and sleep in my own bed rather than in the sweat box that is my tent. But I also really love it here. I still have one more day though. So that’s good.
Looking forward and looking back:
Very much looking forward to seeing one of my favorite bands tonight. Phoenix.
Looking back to yesterday:
Danced in the rain to Avett Brothers, Discovered a great Ghanaian band called, Ogya who allowed me to sing into their mic and acted as my personal trainer - encouraging me to keep dancing ever though I was exhausted. Stevie Wonder! The man. the Legend. So glad I was able to see him. He was of course fantastic - and even gave the crowd a bit of a singing lesson and I’m a better person for it. Bounced to a really great set from Jay Z. (one of my favorite shows of the festival) Saw Gwar!!! Danced with one of the beasts from the band w/out getting sprayed w/ fake blood and worked w/ a great crew of folks at NPR Music for live broadcasts of the festival. (We’ve got a link on our Bonnaroo page of the archived shows so that you can listen to a bunch of live shows we’ve recorded here)
Ok, off to find some more trouble to get into.
