The 80's and a tribute to the Old Skool.

Musically the 1980’s were huge for me.  Everything from The Clash to Lucinda Williams, The Indigo Girls to The Beastie Boys. And of course all the new wave bands, often one hit wonders, that we heard at clubs like Danceteria, Hurrah, The Left Banke and Detroit. Remember those places?

The 80’s also birthed MTV and the way we heard music was forever changed.  Although initially largely ignored by MTV the 80’s also created some of the best rap music. To this day, it’s still some of my favorite stuff.

So, in honor of 80’s day we present our tribute to the greatest thing to come out of Hollis, Queens.
