Over Use of Understudies

Yesterday Led Zeppelin’s bassist John Paul Jones suggested the band would reform without singer Robert Plant.  This past summer Yes replaced ailing lead singer Jon Anderson with the vocalist from a Yes cover band.  And earlier this year Journey replaced frontman Steve Perry with a vocalist the band discovered on YouTube.  Now comes word that Simon & Garfunkel are reforming without Paul Simon!  Art Garfunkel and an as yet unchosen vocalist will reform the famous duo as Someone & Garfunkel.  Dates and venues for a multi-city tour are to be announced.  And plans for a new album remain sketchy.
