How Far Would you Go to see a Show??

Julianne Welby went all the way to Ireland to see Radiohead!  Oh, and some other, er,  things... castles or something.   Meantime, somebody posted a pretty good video of a NEW Radiohead song performed during that Dublin show:

Listeners to ‘FUV Morning Show have been sharing stories of long-distance travel.  One took a ten-day trip to Dublin and Cork  to see U2 (and she’s now planning to go to London to see Simple Minds)  Joe from Bedford, CT just drove six hours to see  Robert Plant and Alison Krass in Canandaqua,  NY (Yikes!  Couldnt’ score MSG tix??)  He said it was among the best shows he’d ever seen.  By far, my fav. email came from Rob in Bedford, NY who sez: “ I once had to end a relationship over concert travel.  I was going from NYC to Burlington VT to see James Brown and my girlfriend said “huh....james TAYLOR I could see,  but james brown?”  See ya, Sweetie!

Confession:  I went all the way to LA last year TWICE to see James Taylor - one time for a charity show at the Troubador to see James Taylor and the band he used to play with in the 70’s - and Carole King!!    Oh, and to see my brother.   And our Alisa Ali is ‘gong to see her sister’ insome godforsaken place like Alabama or Oklahoma.  Tom Waits will COINCIDENTALLY be in town for a rare live performance!  He!
