No, the Helio Sequence didn't quite experience "a slow-motion train wreck," as observed in the duo's song "Downward Spiral," but on the path towards their fifth album, Negotiations, the duo did face some significant obstacles.

Brandon Summers and Benjamin Weikel's Portland, Oregon studio was flooded in 2009 while the band was touring. Forging ahead, with some delays, the band is happily back and they kick off a U.S. tour with Shabazz Palaces in January.

Summers and Weikel recently dropped by The Alternate Side's Studio A for a session and here's a tease: an exclusive video of the Helio Sequence performing "Downward Spiral" for The Alternate Side.
