On November 1, 2017, WFUV was proud to present two awards named for WFUV alumni who have become broadcasting legends.
Charles Osgood Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism:
PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff and Gwen Ifill (posthumously)
Vin Scully Lifetime Achievement Award in Sports Broadcasting:
Bob Wolff (posthumously)
Television journalist Anthony Mason hosted an armchair discussion with Woodruff, reflecting on her extraordinary career. Alice Gainer, FCRH ’04, reporter and anchor for WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV, served as emcee for the evening. You can read event coverage on Fordham University's website.
