Weights and Measures

It's Weights and Measures Day. On this day in 1875 nations around the world agreed on various standards of measurement. We're marking the occasion with songs that mention miles, pounds, volts or whatever else comes to mind. We'll calibrate a set after 9 a.m.

Here's what we played:

Doris Day "A Bushel and a Peck"

Gene McDaniels "A Hundred Pounds of Clay"

Nanci Griffith "Ten Degrees and Getting Colder"

The Kennedys "Half a Million Miles"

Nick Lowe "So It Goes"

The Swingin' Medallions "Double Shot (Of My Baby's Love)"
