Upper West Side School to Open a Year Ahead of Schedule
A new school on the Upper West Side of Manhattan will house nearly seven hundred students in September of 2017. PS191 will help free up space in neighboring schools. The new pre-K through 8th grade school will open a year ahead of schedule. It's part of a larger plan to create more than 44,000 new classroom seats in overcrowded areas.
The new school will include a library, two rooftop playgrounds along with facilities dedicated to music and science.
