Senator Daniel Squadron Honors Beastie Boys' Founder Adam "MCA" Yauch
Senator Squadron paid tribute to the Beastie Boy with a resolution on the Senate floor.
New York State Senator Daniel Squadron this week honored Beastie Boys' founder Adam Yauch, who died on May 4th.
Squadron did so on Tuesday, with a resolution on the Senate Floor.
"We mourn Adam Yauch and honor his life, his contributions to music, and his contributions to the world as an activist," he said.
Adam Yauch was from Squadron's Brooklyn senate district. Squadron says Yauch's work ethic, and the way he changed music was emblematic of New York.
The Senator finished his resolution speech with a fitting Beastie Boys quote.
"Whatever happens in the future we know that Adam Yauch and the Bestie Boys can't, won't, and don't stop."
Yauch died at the age of 47 after battling cancer for nearly three years.
