What does Marilyn Monroe’s death, the Space Needle, and Spiderman’s first appearance all have in common? Well, they were all pivotal events that took place in 1962! The Jewish Museum, located on the Upper East Side, explores these important years in their exhibit called “New York: 1962-1964”. WFUV’s Christina Ljuljic spoke to Helen Goldsmith Menschel Director Claudia Gould about the art inspired by events that took place during that time, and why the 1960s are worth revisiting.
