New Bronx Tourism Guide Launched
The Bronx Tourism Council is releasing a Bronx Visitors Guide to try to bring more tourism to the borough.
The guide will be distributed at visitors centers, Bronx and Manhattan hotels, and other tourist attractions around the city.
Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. said that the borough has seen a spike in visitors in the past few years, and that they wanted to build on that success. He said all these tourists, in addition to benefiting the local economy, will help the borough shed its formerly negative reputation.
"Nothing is more important than having people physically come here and see with their own eyes, so they can go back and tell people they should also visit the Bronx," said Diaz.
The guide highlights not only Bronx staples like the Zoo, Yankee Stadium, and the Botanical Gardens, but also new attractions like local breweries.
