Morning Brief: September 29

New York baseball comes to a close for 2014.

The New York Yankees and New York Mets finished their seasons on Sunday, and unfortunately for New York baseball fans, neither team was able to make the playoffs. The Yankees will miss one of the greatest players in the team's history as Derek Jeter announced that this would be his last season. After a tough season, the Mets can look forward to next season when star pitcher Matt Harvey will return after missing the entire 2014 season with an arm injury.
