Morning Brief: November 3

It's a quiet Election Day with no statewide or national posts to be filled. Many of the New York's state legislature seats are uncontested, but that's not to say there's nothing going on. There are still a number of interesting races for Senate and Assembly seats. And three of those are empty because the previous occupants have been convicted on charges of corruption. With all the talk about the presidential debate, local government may not be getting much attention. But as John Oliver demonstrated last year as well as this year, it's important to get out and vote.
