Morning Brief: November 25
As this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade draws nearer, city law enforcement is stepping up security, just in case of a terror attack. The city has been even more vigilant than usual after Islamic State attacks in Paris, and rumors of other imminent threats. So far, there are no concrete threats against the city, and officials have been adamant that New Yorkers have nothing to worry about. But as thousands begin to stream into the city for the holidays, it doesn’t hurt to be, as Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said, “very well prepared.”
