Morning Brief: November 24
Leasing is beginning in New York City’s first micro apartment development. The 55 open apartments are housed in a nine-story building on Carmel Place, and range from a tiny 260 to 360 square feet. They are all studio-style, and can be rented furnished or unfurnished for anywhere from $2,500 to $3,000. In addition to specialized, built-in furniture, the rooms also come with a lifestyle service that provides housekeeping, cable, Wi-Fi, a personal concierge service, and programming of different events.
